The Dog That Didn't Bark Series, Special Insights
- Bring on the Centennials!
We
open up with a curious event, namely the exclusion of two events
which should have been honored with Centennials. The first of these
was the 1909
making and showing of nature movies at the Pillsbury Studio in
Yosemite. The second event which should have been honored with a
Centennial was the invention of the
first lapse-time motion picture camera for plants in 1912 and the
films showing that year at a conference
of the Superintendents for the Park System. This took place in
Yosemite, October 14 – 16th, 2012.
The
series will continue until the Dog Barks.
